Month Three - Week One

The week started with no rumors or gossip, no scandal just nice and pleasant week.  Elowen was up early to work on her writing skill since the school requested it.  Plus before the elf ages they must achieve certain things, basic writing skill is one of those things.

Rian learnt all his skills and aged up into a handsome child at the beginning of the week.  His sister will be looking after him as he goes to school, meeting his class mates and perhaps signing up for an after school activity.

Of course Rian growing up meant we had to add another room onto the house, since both Zar and I wanted another child we couldn't really convert the baby room into Rian's room.  I was so excited to think that Zar wanted another child, and that this world has allowed me to already have two, do I dare push my luck and have a third?

Rian and Elowen are doing well at school, and after school activities.  Elowen is beautiful as a ballerina and Rian is enrolled as a boy scout. Learning about living with nature and not harming it is a great thing for Rian to learn, I am glad these humans feel about it the same way we do and teach their children to respect nature.

Month Two - Week Four

The week started with Rian growing up into a handsome toddler.  Dark skin like his dad, white hair also like his dad.  He is defiantly Zar's little man!

Elowen is excelling at her ballet classes, she even had an audition and won the part, plus a special trophy.  I was even told the judges gave her a "Brava" after it was all done.  I'm so proud of her.  And she made it on the honor roll.  She so hard working, I need to insist on her having fun as well.  Perhaps we'll go to the park this weekend and she can learn something like fishing!  Meanwhile  I read her a book to go to sleep and nothing like reading a "Logic" skill book to put anyone asleep! (That being said both mother and daughter gain skill while they read it!)

reading logic, gaining skill!
Zar and I have been working hard at our new careers and after two weeks I am at level 7 of my career and my husband is at level 8.  We have done wonderful pieces of art work, including the latest addition to our personal collection, Rain as a toddler in both paint and ice.

Zar has defiantly taking it upon himself to teach little Rian everything he needs to know, he's taught him how to walk and talk!  A clever little boy and very fast learner just like his sister!

Learning to walk!
Our art work this week was a ton of paintings by Zar and some sculptures by me.  I did some ice ones as well, but like Zar I need to learn the secret to non-melting ice before I can keep them around so I sell the ice ones right away!

Month Two - Week Three

We hadn't even gotten out of bed  on Sunday and rumors are flying.  I think the "Rumor Starter" is jealous of my husbands success and is starting these terrible rumors to ruin him.  Good thing no one is believing these rumors.  This time  the rumor is of my husband fighting again.  Awful rumors!  And once again my husband has to make the trip to city hall to claim his innocence.  I think Zar and the judge should be best friends by now the number of times he's there!  Luckily for us the judge is on our side and Zar once again wins his case against the "Rumor Starter".

We spent some time this weekend upgrading "Elle's Falls"  Last thing my husband wanted to do was add a ice sculpture of me in the water (it is after all named after me).  I thought this was such a romantic notion that we moved the sculpting set to the park and my husband did a delightful ice portrait of myself.  Elowen enjoyed the park as well, playing with Snuggles in the fresh air!

My ice sculpture portrait in the center of Elle's Falls park.

My husband also achived the top of his sculpting career and as we mentioned we're going to try something new.  Monday morning we are going to switch careers.  We also are missing a portrait of myself in paint and my husband in ice!  So with a total of 86 paintings under my belt, 22 of them Masterpieces, and total income of 111,162Sims, I wave good bye to painting and hello to sculpting.  My husband waves good bye to sculpting and hello to painting, leaving total sculptures at 75, only one masterpiece and a total income of 90,974Sims.  We are excited to try new things and watching each other with the different art mediums we were eager to try it ourselves!

Zar was also feeling a little frisky this week and well... one thing led to another and I heard magical chimes!!  Thats right, I think I'm pregnant with baby two!  I'm so excited, its so rare for elves to have a child, let alone multiple children!  I can't wait to see if its a boy or girl... and what to name him or her!  Not only was i pregnant with our second child but our first child, darling Elowen, grew up into a child!

A father - daughter moment *awww*
Elowen grew up into a child.
Already Elowen is making friends, little Jamaal Shue-Colby came over to introduce himself and they had a great time chatting, playing tag and pillow fighting!  I'm so glad Elowen will know someone when she goes to school!! Elowen had a busy first day of school, she got elected to clean the bug cages and she has a field trip tomorrow to get ready for.  Plus of course her homework. On top of all this she decided to take herself to the art museum.  I think she's going to be an artist just like her parents!  Speaking of artistic Elowen wanted to join an after school activity and has now been enrolled in ballet, She's going to be so beautiful in her little dance outfit!

So little baby boy Rian was born.  Dark skin just like his father.  And as adorable as his sister was.  It was too dark to take photos so I'll wait until he is an adorable toddler, any day now.

Much like other weeks, our sculptures and paintings - this time of course I am sculpting and Zar is painting.

Month Two - Week Two

The week was spent mainly looking after Elowen, teaching her everything she needed to know to age up.  We're so very proud of her and everything she has done so far, she's very smart!  We took her on lots of walks in between lessons and I think she is a very happy child, always laughing and singing with "Snuggles".

Even Zar took her for a walk.

Attack of the Claw!

My husband is working hard to reach the top of his career at which point we decided to change careers, he will become an artist and I will become a sculptor.  We decided this since he couldn't do a sculpture of himself, and I can do a portrait of myself.  Plus we have lots of money in the bank saved up so we can take it easy and learn new things!

I've also been thinking of having another child. Elowen is almost a child now and having another tiny tot about the place would be wonderful!  I'm so excited since Zar agrees with me completely!

This weeks artwork - lots of stone as Zar works to reach the top of his career.

Month Two - Week One

Our second month started with me giving birth to our first child.  A darling little girl named Elowen.  She is so tiny, so precious, so adorable.  We couldn't be more proud.  This life we have in Hidden Springs has gotten even more perfect.

Elle pregnant with Elowen
Zar, Elowen and myself leaving the hospital moments after she was born!
My husband also reached his 25 ice sculptures and did a portrait of my pregnant self which seem not to be melting.  Apparently he did learn the magic of non-melting ice sculptures.  This is how he plans on doing family portraits, while I will keep up with painting them.

We also spent a large chunk of money buying a business and a venue.  We bought Hogan's Deep-Fried Diner which we renamed Nightwing's Diner, getting the Deep Fried part of of the name was important to us, let people know that its not all deep fried, introducing perhaps some healthy options to the menu!  We also bought a tiny little out of the way park named Louie Falls.  Its closed for renovations but when we make more money we'll open it again for the public and we're renaming it Elle's Falls, my husband insisted it be named after me.  He's so sweet!

"Rumor Starter" is at it again, less than 24 hours from one of the happiest moments in our life he is spreading rumors that my husband was rummaging through trash cans.  Poor Elowen can't even have here fathers attention cause he had to rush off to city hall (again) and fight this slander. Naturally he won, I think the judge is getting tired of seeing Zar as well and is just dismissing the case.

My daughter received a gift in the mail from an aunt I've never heard of.  I suspect it was our parents accepting the fact we are happy together even if as elves our races shouldn't mix.  A darling little toy, the label has its name as "Snuggles"

Elowen having fun with Snuggles
Elowen had her birthday by the end of the week and she grew into a darling little toddler.  Light hair like myself, dark eyes like Zar.  She is so wonderful.  Zar has already started his portrait of her, out of ice of course.  I promptly finished a painting of Elowen and before the end of the week she learnt how to make music on the xylophone and was potty trained!  She's so clever.

Elowen's painting and ice Sculpture portraits.
We didn't get many sculptures and paintings done this week, we were too busy looking after Elowen, but we have a good amount of money saved up so a slow week shouldn't be too terrible!

Month One - Week Four

The last week of the month started out with both of us going to the library.  Reading up on some necessary things like cooking, charisma and inventing.  Returning home we did a few more paintings and sculptures (my husband is now selling those ice sculptures as he goes, otherwise the backyard will be one giant puddle!).

We invited an acquaintance over to practice our portraits. Dany thought little Zar's ice sculpture of him and was indifferent towards my painting. I guess that's why its called practice!

Elle's portrait of Dany

Zar's portrait of Dany.

Midweek I received a call from City Hall and (like Zar) I received an award, the "Artist's Painted Ribbon".  I'm so excited!  We are being accepted into the town, they love our artwork!  Its such a wonderful day!  We were invited to Jessica Willows house for a party as well.  We only sort of know her, however I think its my husband's celebrity status that got us to her party.  No matter, we were invited none the less and meeting all sorts of new people!

The "Rumor Starter" must have been lurking about, because once again Zar is being accused, this time of being in a fight.  Dark Elves have been known to get into fights, but mainly as they are defending something or someone.  They don't go actively looking, or at least Zar doesn't.  Once more Zar will make the trip to city hall to fight such slander, maybe he can get the "Rumor Starter" locked up!  Zar won his case but the "Rumor Starter" remains free!  I don't know about Dark Elves having a bad temper, but goodness help him if I get my hands on him!

I reached the top of the painter career Saturday afternoon, after receiving 22,000Sim. from the consignment store, plus a 5,000Sim bonus from city hall!  We now have lots of money to invest in a business venture, or update the house!  Last day of the month also means we can have a baby (as my husband promised, and I wasn't going to let him forget!), it was a romantic evening, with red roses and lots of making out.  End of the night I hear the magical chime that happens with elves to let us know we're pregnant!  I'm so excited!

Romantic kisses lead to babies!

My pictures this week - Zar's statues were sold immediately so they didn't melt, something about carving 25 ice sculptures will stop them from melting....??

Month One - Week Three

This week started out with Zar sleeping inside, and myself sleeping in a huge cosy bed.  We spent almost all of the 25,000Sim. and built ourselves a nice little house.  Very simple so far, we still need to add on a nursery and because of that we have decided to wait a month before having children... a month from moving to Hidden Springs.  I'm eager to have children but will respect my husbands wishes.

our house at the start of week 3!

Our art work is getting better, my husband has moved from stone to topiary , metal and ice.  I think the ice isn't a great idea, and will melt before we get it sold, but my husband says not.  Its awfully warm in Hidden Springs, and we don't have any sort of cool room, or celler.  So we'll see who's right by Saturday!  He says he has to practice with ice since he wants to do portraits of our family.  I'll let him try it for a bit.  Maybe he'll learn the secret to keeping ice from melting!

End of the week and I hate to tell Zar "I told you so." but... I told you so.   Those ice sculptures melted right out of our inventory.  They were puddles of water by the time Saturday rolled along.  So Zar spent time and money making something that melted away.  I'm going to have to let him break our private rule by selling the ice before it melts... If he does insist on doing them.  That being said the paintings and topiary and metal sculptures made lots of money at the consignment store, time to add on a nursery I think!  Plus my husband got an award at city hall, a  "Successful Sculptor's Medal"  mounted so he can hang it on the wall.  It makes me so happy to know we are being accepted by the humans!

week 3 art work, minus the ice sculptures which all melted away!!
